The Creamery Bar and Grill located at 105 W. Park Ave. in Viborg , announces their summer event schedule. The Creamery is owned and operated by Pat Garvey and family and is located in the Historic Scandinavian Creamery.

Sat. July 10th – Karaoke by Tammy Fey 9 PM.

Every Thursday night Karaoke by Elvis – 8 PM.

July 23 Farmers Market in Beer Garden 1PM – 5PM. Fresh Vegs. etc from the Colony

5 PM. Ribbon Cutting

5 PM – Wine tasting from White Headed Robin Winery

Friday July 16th – Lawn Mower Poker Run 5:30 PM.

July 17 Free Keg immediately following the parade.

July 17 – Serving food all night until sunrise after the dance

Sat. August 14 – Karaoke 9 PM. by Backroads Entertainment. Til they kick us out.

The Viborg Community Foundations is producing a commemorative deck of cards that are now available for purchase. Price is $10 per deck and you may order them at the Merchant’s State bank. There will be a limited quantity of these decks produced, so make sure you get your orders in early.

Landon Hanson nominated to Academic All-Star panel

Landon Hanson , a senior at Viborg High School was nominated to the Sioux Falls Argus-Leaders (newspaper) 2009 Academic All-Star panel.

For each of the past 10 years the Argus-Leader has recognized the top students in the area. They have diverse interests and ambitions for their future after high school. Each student also shows excellence in many areas of their life.

Hanson plans to attend South Dakota State University in Brookings in the fall and plans a career as an Army Infantry Officer.
